Idle revs speed?
Discussion
Sorry if this has been done before but a search of old posts turned out fruitless.
Since my 1k service I've noticed the tick over speed is around 950-1000 rpm. Before the service it was normally about 750. Which is correct?
I've also noticed a couple of other revs related things over the last few days.
(1) In 1st and 2nd gear, if i'm doing a constant slow speed (20-30mph, negotiating the speed bumps and slow traffic!) the revs are a little erratic. Not hugely so but enough to make it feel rough.
(2) A few times over the last week, I start the car up, giving it a little throttle to turn it over as usual, but when I take my foot off the accelerator the revs seem to stick around 1500 and very slowly fall off back to tick over (900-1000).
Anyone got ideas?

dropping idle is usually a sign of either throttles getting covered in oil from the breather or valve clearances closing up - so either at the service they opened the valves up, cleaned the throttles or would the idle adjuster out, or a combination of all three.
setting the idle higher allows the car to go for longer before owners complain of low idle / stalling.
