Has anyone had problems with the seatbelt pretentioner? Mine is driving me mad as almost anytime i try to lean forward in the seat or shift myself to be able to look out of the rear window when reversing the seatbelt has locked and it takes some to-ing and fro-ing to get it slack again. On a couple of occasions I've had to actually release the belt from the buckle and put it back again to release the tension.

Is there a way to adjust them? Can I do it myself or would you advise taking it to the dealer to sort out?

Had this problem in the Chim, Griff, Tuscan and now the T350. Never bothered to do anything about it. I just don't bother to wear a seatbelt- focuses the mind on driving well!

I wasn't joking.

It's an italian thing.

"wearing a seat belt means that I'm expecting to have an accident. I'm much too good a driver for that so what's the point?" (actual quote from an Italian when they introduced compulsory seatbelts in Italy)

I only wear them when I'm going really fast on twisty bits because I keep falling out of the seat.

Good luck with this one.

I have the same trouble, I find I cannot move the seatbelt at all if the car is on any incline, whether I am wearing it or no...however my missus doesn't have any trouble. I must be ham-fisted whatever that means.

Perhaps some combination of wispering sweet nothings and promises of sun baked trips to Le Mans may work?

Ahhh but it's trying to be Italian... hence it's deciding that you are such a good driver you really don't need to wear one

I think you will find that it is the way the belt is mounted, needs shims I guess. The belts are possibly old models I had/have same problem in a classic where the belts are new but based upon old design. Drives my wife mad because she always fastens the belt after I have started the run and it is usually when I am going up or down hill, bloody awkward my gender. So then I am driving too fast so need to stop so that madam can put on the belt and then we have a row and turn the car and go back home. At least it isn't far as we have just gone down the hill outside the house
