Enjoyed myself today tding the above
However, I wonder if I might ask a few qs of owners ?

There was no luggage cover-is this available aftermarket (I noticed Flasher's car has one) ?

Error code relating to a/c on the dash display, came on on starting the ignition, cleared after a few miles - something to worry about ? Or they all do that sir ?

How much is a nose respray and armorfend (it's a private sale and a little chipped) ?

Rear 'boot' lid - very poor fit, is this fixable ?

Any options to particularly look for ? Anything to avoid ?

What a delight to drive the T350 is Having driven an early Tusc and found it a long way from fun (I suspect the shocks were shagged-they can't all be that bad ???) I didn't have high hopes, but was very impressed

James speaking:

The shape of the rear window is slightly changed and fits better now. It will cost for a replacement. Rear parcel cover can be retro fitted. It is a factory job due to trimming and again will cost. Respray is likely to cost 500-700 quid?depend on colour. a 52 car is very early mine was the 7 customer car and was finished in mid Feb I registered it as an 03. there were also about 14 dealer cars prior to that.

Thank you. I was told the car was one of the first registered and appears to have been a dealer's demo car.
I think I'll take a look at some newer cars, since there seem to be plenty of used examples about. I really wasn't happy with the boot lid, it was around 1/2 out to the LHS and if it's an issue of replacement, as opposed to repair, that's not something I'd really want to get into.
Thanks again

The A/C fault light seems a common problem - get a dealer to check it before you buy. The luggage cover should be fitted FOC by a dealer or the factory. Nose respray - check out TVR Bodyshop website - £699 + VAT with "Stoneguard" undercoat.

The boot lid has new hinges - get them changed. Check the car has the small cut-out at the bottom of the boot lid, to allow you to get your hands under to lift it. Make sure the ashtray is present at the front of the transmission tunnel - most get forgotten!

Contact flasher for any other queries....

Hi

My t350c was registered in January and was one of the very first customer cars!

The rear glass will just be a matter of adjustment and besides the odd squeak no problems with opening or closing mine. The bracket on mine at the bottom was replaced with a more adjustable item on later cars which again can be retro-fitted. The glass as i am aware is slightly proud on the right to make it easier to open, and lacks the indentation in the bottom of later cars (not retro fittable as bodywork).

The parcelshelf can be retro fitted as can useless sunvisors, kick plates, front speakers etc.

Unfortunately the mods weren't all introduced at the same time, so some cars may for example have no front speakers or have the raised bit behind the seats, prior to the introduction of the full rear shelf.

Stonechips on all tvr's are inevitable, although having armourfend from day 1 has prevented that on mine. My advice would be to use any mods that are missing as a negotiating tool, as too the stonechips. I think that the full kit upgrade is about £1500 but personally the missing things don't bother me other than perhaps the front speakers which do spoil the lines of the front doors.

edited to add; Mine has flashed a/c fault and indeed fuel warnings with half a tank of fuel! Assumed it was a glitch as air con was working ok at the time.

cheers

Mike

On a positive note; back in january, i noticed a lot of demo cars at the factory had leather, a 2.5k option on a new one.

It has leather Unfortunately the 'wall' behind the seats that forms the front of the boot (I think-going on Flasher's pics) is missing, presumably resulting in a back to the factory trimming job ?
