Ok I have a few questions. I have approval to buy one from the financial controller in the house, so its just a question of rebuilding my garage and then making sure I can actually drive a the thing before I take the plunge!

My two questions are, does anyone know the dimensions of the tamora, including how wide the doors open etc?

Also is anyone 5Ft 4" and can the see OK and drive it OK?

thanks

The dimensions are in the official brochure which you can get from a tVR dealer or from TVR direct - they may even be on the TVR website somewhere. I have T350 and a bog standard single garage and have no probs getting in or out.

From the brochure (but you should probably check they are 100% accurate)...

Length Overall - 3948mm
Width Overall (incl mirrors) - 1835mm
Height Overall - 1205mm
Ground Clearance - 122mm
Weight - 1100Kg
Fuel Tank Capacity - 63litres

If you are buying from a dealer then ask them to bring one to your place and try it in your garage...

Good Luck

thanks everyone. I tried to find them online but could not.

If anyone who is 5ft 4" or shorter and can confirm they can drive with no issues then I am set, now its just choosing the colour, i was told its about 12 weeks delivery. (I hear the pedals can be adjusted for short legs).

thanks

Hi Maddog,

My wife is about 5'4" and she has no problems at all.

We had the pedals set as close to the seat as possible. The factory also made a seat base insert that lifts the driver a bit. I'm sure they would do the same for you.

Cheers,
Nick

I am 5'2 and have no problems at all driving my Tamora. I have the same modification to the pedals and the seat insert that Hatchn has.

I'm 5'6" ish and no problem. Go and test drive one and you will not want to get out of it. All my local short journeys take at least 30 minutes ! and I even sometimes forget what I have gone out for.

Thanks! Test drive and then a possible seat insert sounds the way to go (sounds like go karting!). Will they know what I am talking about if I talk about a seat insert? Does it fit over the seat or in it?

thanks in advance

I shall go to the garage later, open the doors of my Tamora, and measure the overall width!

But who cares? As long as you can leap over, into the car, do you ned to actually OPEN the doors?

The seat insert sits on top of the seat, and slots into the back so it is secure, but easily removed if a taller person drives the car (I have to remove mine when the other half drives). It is made in the same material/colour of your interior trim so you cannot tell it is there.

Good luck!

This ground clearance is rather generous - it was probably measured when the Tamora was on axle stands...

My Tamora has a ground clearance of about 3 3/4" (95mm) at the front splitter (unladen) with the 18" wheels. This has caused me more problems than any of the other dimensions!
