OK, its Friday. So, as a bit of light relief;

Hypothetically , what's the fastest you've done in your T350 C/T/Tamora?

I only ask because every time you see performance figures its always a little vague so just wondered if anyone has took their car, hypothetically , to the limit, whatever that maybe.

Not managed to get it to the limit yet, but managed just over 160 whilst in Europe in June

Oi, I want to join in and I've only got a Cerb!!

My PB since buying the car in March this year was an indicated 180, recorded on a "private test track" just south of Rouen in mid-June

Think its OK to post this here as my brother Miles was right behind me (well, at a "safe" distance" )..............in his T350C!!

cheers
sean

PS The T350C also won the impromptu "Peage drag race", against my Cerb 4.5, a Tuscan 4.0 and a 911 C4S....although we all claim he had a rolling start!

Just spoke to the factory, they set all the Cerb speedos at plus 20%, to make you lot feel better... so you were only doing 144 Hang on, you meant KPH? O.K. so that makes it around 97mph. About right for a Cerb.

Just spoke to Miles, he said he was still in 4th gear and anyway, he was still running the engine in.

My PB? Not important, I'm just happy it'll spin the wheels in second

More speed, vicar?

Taken it up to a 162mph with the top down.. which i can tell you now is scary... was racing a friend in his 911 turbo who was a bit surprised to see me glued on to his bumper.. before we ate all the track.. with the top on i know i could push this baby past the 175mph mark... might just test it on sunday, going on a private track where a few friends supercars will be going heah to head.. will have to join in, will keep you posted on outcome...

So Nick Beef - how's the T350 compared to your 911s? Got a neighbour who's got a Carrera 4 and he knows and I know that it would beat my M3. Can I wipe the smile off his face once I get my T350?

you've obviously never spoken to Miles, or you'd know that the words "running in" are not in his admittedly limited vocabulary!!

who are you, then blueyes??

(you've owned 4 Tivs and still not brave enough to try a Cerbera? come on, where's your backbone??!!)

cheers

Managed 153 with the roof down at Bruntingthorpe, (and speedo measured as dad accurate by GPS, on the same day) but the valves were loose, and the noise, and fear of catastrophic engine failure, stopped me really pushing it, plus the car seemed to hit an aerodynamic barrier, and just did not want to go faster - so Nick Beef, you must have had better conditions!

Hi Neil.. I've got a Tamora now.. much better and faster than a 911.. as was my Cerbera prior to this.. when you receive your T350 i can tell you this.. unless the 911 is a twin turbo.. you have nothing to worry about! Or you could just go for the engine upgrade and surprise a few turbo's too... just for the record i found more reliability problems with the 911's than the Tvr's..

Only kidding about Miles. Sounds like a decent bloke though!

Cerbera? Sorry, I've never needed a family car. Four seats and all that.

You'll be buying an estate next.

been there, done that....had a German import M5 Touring before the Cerb, and took it round the Nordschleife to scare the locals in their 911s!!

sold it to fund the Cerb and replaced it with a 530i Touring, which is the most boring car I've ever owned, it's got to go.....so last week I found a supercharged M5 Touring on www.mobile.de with 470bhp, for about £10K. VERY tempting!!

I had the Tuscan Beemer refers to - knowing how crap the speedo is I had a GPS for the trip - we got to 165 before the battery died - that was with the roof off and green change light on 6000rpm

we got to the red change light a bit latter but dont know official speed - expect it was 170+

btw there was nothing between the Cerbie / Tuscan / T350C

162 so far !

Roof panels on, but the wind noise was as loud as , so backed off for fear of losing one of the panels.

(Private road aswell of course)
