May not be applicable - but have you considered offset finance from a bank or building society? (loan interest offset against current or savings account). Currently saves me about £80/month, over 5 years - £4,800!

Based on a £38K purchase price

10% down for 3 years with a 50% balloon it works out to about £600 a month.

However its almost certain that you will be upside down at the end of the term unless the car is absolutely immaculate.

If it is any help, when I bought my Griff (new).

It was about the following.

£35k for the car.

£8k up front
£400 ish per month
£17.5k baloon after three years

When I did the deal TVR residuals were really strong, after three years they had fallen through the floor!
