So which country builds the best drivers car:Britain or Germany? Well this quartet splits itself into pairs, but not along patriotic lines Although great cars by any normal measure the BMW M3 CSL and TVR 350c bring up the rear, the M3 finishing last, The driving experience is simply not worth the extra £18,720 over a standard M3 The T350c is the Blackpools firms best car yet, but the top pair are in another league The 911 GT3 is fabulous in virtually every area but it is just edged out by the astounding Noble M12 GTO 3R. If you want ultimate driving thrills, buy British

Never much cared for AutoExpress opinions - (probably just my bias) In many ways you get what you pay for - the Noble has now gone over £50k, the Porsche is way beyond that, so comparisons with them flatter TVR, and to beat the M3 CSL is no mean achievement!
All this is a learning curve for the Modern TVR, they're on their way to becoming a great car maker, and it's a very exciting time to be part of it, even if only as a customer.
I feel that it is only in the last 4 years that TVR have justified inclusion in tests with other mainstream sports car manufacturers. The Chimaera and Griff are wonderful cars, but are from the previous generation of idiosyncratic TVR's. The newer cars mix it with the big boys on a level footing, and do very well at it. The fact that they are worthy of inclusion in comparative tests like this, shows how far progress has come. Not bad for sub-£40k cars, really! The cars will continue to develop, especially once the new T350R's get racing, so it will be interesting to see how things develop.
