The wait is finally over!!!!!
Discussion
After waiting 14 months from ordering to taking delivery last Friday I've finally got it!
So has the wait been worth it - Yes. Mainly because the car's a hell of a lot better looking than the one I ordered at the 2000 Motor Show, and also because I was able to save a lot more money. The down side was that my Chimaera depreciated heavily during the last year!
I picked the car up on Friday in the rain, drove around on Saturday in the rain and went to the Donnington Meet yesterday in the rain! Even now while the car's running in I can take a wet roundabout quicker than the Chimaera could! Even with a stiffer ride it really grips the road better.
I've done 230 miles do far and first impressions are excellent. Much more of a race car then my Chimaera (can't really compare it to any other TVRs?), not just the Speed Six engine but the seats, driving position and grip.
Got a 260 mile round trip planned tomorrow so should be able to start increasing the revs to around 4500rpm. Only done 3500rpm and that's quick, 8000rpm's going to ballistic!
Got a few 'niggles' that the dealer's going to sort out next week during its first service. Nothing major but the list is getting longer!
The heater's weird! I can only seem to get hot air on the windscreen and cold air on my body! Maybe I'm doing something wrong? The digital display is good but you need to set the contrast/brightness for lights off, side lights and dipped lights! And then if the sun comes out you can't see the display to change the settings!
If anyone's about to spec up a Tamora order then make sure you get the Lamonta interior trim as it really looks good in the car.
Cheers......... Andrew
PS. There's some pictures in the 'Donnington Meet' thread in the 'General TVR' section.

That's interesting, Andrew - your experience with the heater is exactly what I found when I drove the HHC demo car - we need to have a word at the factory on Friday. Looking forward to hearing your car!! Cheers.
It has suddenly occurred to me that my BMW does the same - warm air up and down, and cool air from the front vents. The get-out clause is to shut off the dash vents to get hot air only.

Don't you have to wait until the first oil change before increasing the revs' on that engine? Like you do with the V8... Rich.
Hi Jon, I took some pictures on the weekend but haven't transferred them yet. In the meantime someone else took some photos at Donnington the weekend before:-

Maybe see you at a TVRCC meet soon?

Well, nearly! Had a word with the factory, and HHC, today, and my car will be delivered to the dealer on Saturday, and is booked for it's PDI, so I look pretty certain to get it on Wednsday, next week. (Barring any little whoopsies they might find, that is) I'm so f***ing excited, I think I'm going to....burstAAAAAARRRGGHHH!!
Car was in for it's 1000 mile service on Thursday/Friday when the dealer was supposed to fix the couple of scratches that had appeared during its PDI!
Looked at the car in the daylight on Saturday to find that they hadn't touched them! Not only that but there's a new chip in the paintwork between the bonnet/windscreen and the front lip spoiler has hit something and been damaged!
Other than that the car's brilliant. The grip when flooring the fast pedal on a wet read is incredible!
Cheers....... Andrew
PS. I paid £100 for the first service. What have the rest of you been quoted? Do all dealers wave the normal charges and just ask for a nominal contribution to the 9 hours labour taken?

Nubbin, I did get it but couldn't play it.
Files .MSWMM seem to be Microsoft Windows Movie Maker?
I looked on the Microsoft web page and couldn't find a download. Also, it looked as though MSWMM is just for Windows XP?
Is this right?
If you've got a version that plays on Media Player or Real Player then I could play those?
Cheers.... Andrew
