Had occasion to drive both the Tuscan and T350C on an 80 mile round trip yesterday.

As much as I love the open Top motoring of the Tuscan, the T350C pulls and handles like a train!

Accelerated so strongly, my mobile which I put by the handbrake, went airborne and landed in boot!

Absolutely, first class performance!

It's allright for some

But neither could pass the Griff 500 Ltd Edition on the A368 to Bath!! Or maybe it was the driver

Of the 3 - Griff for me everytime - nothing like the pure torque of a V8 pulling hard from 2000rpm out of tight 40mph corners without the nervousness of the Tusc & 350....

Strangely the oft talked about 'edginess' of the Tuscan is really appealing to me.

Fish had a Tuscan before the T350c, and whilst I loved and still do love the Tuscan, the T350c is a lot easier for me to drive and it grips the road a lot better than the Tuscan did.

So would it be fair to say Men drive Tuscans and women drive T350C's.

And where do you get it from that the T350 is "nervous" coming out of a corner????

You can't have driven one because it isn't nervous at all especially compared to a Griff. Autocar made it the quickest road car on the track in it's recent handling test......

Drove both the Tuscan and T350 in quick succession the other day. To dramatically summarize the experience I would say that the Tuscan was more 'fun' and the T350 more capable.

The T350 would lap a track quicker, but which would you rather live with given the 60mph national speed limit.

Still I've opted for the T350 with power upgrade ...

The question is, to whom are we trying to be 'fair' to.

Yes, it would only be 'fair' to mankind in general, if I lied and said the 's' stands for small.

I have no wish to leave you with a massive inferiority complex so all i will say is.......its this big.

Assumptions are dangerous......have driven T350C, Griff & Tuscan (Business Partner of www.Tangent Performance.co.uk) but admittedly none on a track.

My comment refers to the less compromised & more planted feel of the Griff 500 Ltd Ed in general ie more useable on a typical and poorly mantained British A/B road in that not thrown off line by cambers, ridges and undulations. I found that I was constantly correcting the cars trajectory and trying to anticpate where the car would take me next. Perhaps it was the T350C's ability to tramline for England that made me nervous....

Flasher you haven't stated if you have driven a Griff Ltd Ed...if not my advice would be to try one - not sure if TVR factory made any significant mods to last 100 Griffs - could be an interesting debate - a well known salesman of a TVR Dealer near Exeter believes the Griff Ltd Ed to be one of the best handling TVRs - shame in his opinion that as the Griff is finally sorted they kill it off - he in fact sold his own Tuscan RR of 2+ years for a Grif Ltd Ed.

Try one then buy one before everyone realises what a gem the Ltd Ed is.....

Jeremy, you may actually be the only person in the world to think that the Griffith handles better than the Tamora/T350 on British roads!

Do you have any other pearls to share with us?

I'll leave you to talk out of your ass. I have driven mine on a track and have driven Griff Ltd edition several times. The T350 is miles quicker. Thats why Autocar and Evo have it down as the best handling TVR yet built, and it did a better laptime than a Pagani Zonda, a Ferrari 360 and various other cars. If you know better than the collection of drivers that Autocar had drive it round a circuit (Tiff Needell, Justin Wilson, Phil Bennett etc.) than you are obviously in the wrong job and should be road testing for them.....

I'll see you on a trackday sometime (in my mirrors....trying desperatley to keep up...)

Friendly as ever flasher. I didn't realise expressing an opinion had been outlawed here? He clearly stated that he drove all three, and found the Griff to be the most suited to the roads. This is something called a personal opinion, and something we are all entitled to I believe.

At no point does he say it is faster.

Still feel free to jump in again with a furious defence of the T350c!

Alt - didn't say Griff better handling rather more suited to the kind of road I described.....huge difference. Nice try but wouldn't put Tamora in same light as T350c....

Flasher - nice thoughts. I don't doubt the T350c's on track performance - however come down to the South West and drive your T350c in the real world on real roads (not mill pond smooth/ridge free track surfaces)and see which is the better suited (not the fastest).

But hey you still probably wouldn't agree with my comment but that is your opinion.

You quote lap time performance - I wouldn't necessarily gauge driving enjoyment/handling by lap times and lap times alone - so if lap times are your fix buy a 250cc Rotax kart and be the fastest adolescent on the track....
