Here are some I can think of
1. If its over a year old check it has had the seat-belt modifications. Without them the belts jam with the roof down.
2. Check the wheel arches to see if underseal is flaking off
3. Make sure software version in computer is 6.0. If its less then mileage reading may be inaccurate.
4. If its a bison clad interior check for wear particularily around the tops of the seat where the belts run.
5. Check for excessive wear of mohair on front corners of roof panel. This happens when hood is taken in/out of boot unless car has had mods to carpet.
6. Check for door misalignment. Most cars suffer from paint wear marks near the door catch. Had mine realigned at last service.
7. Check for signs of boot leaks. The carpet in the corners of the boot will look frayed if this is happening, due to the dampness.
Most other things differ from car to car and are usaally electrical in nature.

jayz, agree with all the things that Frostie says. If you're buying from a dealer then just ensure they agree to rectify everything you find.
If you have any doubts then contact the previous owner. Or even the TVR Warranty Department?
4000 miles is not high for a 6 month old car!
Good luck.....
