Went for a spin in the Tamora earlier and I seem to have a bit of a "clunk" coming from the front suspension at low speed. Seems OK at speed and cant see anything loose. Anyone else had this?

I had this back in June, on my t350c. It's sort of around the passenger side footwell area. It got worse and worse... then it got better. It's in for the 6k service at the moment (they've had it for a week!) so I'll let you know what it was WHEN it comes back.

BTW the noise got "better" when the weather went cooler. Did yours get worse as the weather got hotter?

I had something similar with the Tuscan, except the clunk was with wheel rotation not bumps. Turned out to be brake related.

I went out last night for a spin and only had one clunk and it was very hot yesterday so I dont think its a temp thing. Its in for a service next month so I will let them look at it.

Thanks

blueyes, why do you allow them to have your car for this length of time!
In my 4.5 years of TVR ownership all the services have taken either 1 or 2 days depending on the service.
Cheers..... Andrew
PS. Never had a clunk on my Tamora!

The n/s door has rubbed away the paintwork on the jamb so has to be ground out and resprayed.

The wipers are fouling the bonnet- more grinding and spraying.

The whole car has funny marks in the paintwork so they're sorting that out too.

The n/s seat has rubbed the trim away on the b pillar so that has to be re-trimmed

Then they have to service it and sort out a few other little faults

I've had 4 TVRs and know from experience that you spend the first 6 months sorting it out so all of this is no surprise.

I'm not really worried, they've loaned me a nice new Pug 307d estate. Starting to miss the noise a bit now though!... and the air con!!!!

Never mind, when it comes back it will be all fixed and nice and it's going to feel INCREDIBLY fast after driving that greenhouse!

Essential in a T350c.

I suppose it's handy in a Tam.
I had a griff and a Chim and regretted not fitting it.

I have anew T350T and without aircon today I would have died sitting in traffic on A40 for 3 hours!

Its not upto my BMW standard by any means and there are only 2 vents but its better than nothing...sad for £2K eh!

check the anti roll bar mountings, they came loose on one side of my t350 front suspension and so to speak it also 'clunked'...

I had the exact same thing on a three weeek old chimera, returned under warenty and guess what the front wheel was loose. Theft they said, as it has not been left out of sight un torqued wheel I said, any way try the simpliest things first.
