I've had a Chimaera, 2 Griffiths and a Tuscan. Tuscan was so bad, that after two long factory visits it had go home to stay. That's when I got my 2nd Griff which was nigh on perfect. Someone brought that so went to an Elise. Too slow, too small and not punchy enough. Having had a very bad TVR experience, but three good ones, would anyone out there suggest I came back to the fold and brought a T350T. Is build quality and reliability OK. Please only replies from people who know!
As with all TVR's there is that element of dodgy build quality, unfortunately you never can tell whether your car is going to be a good one or not.
Fish has had a Chimera, followed by a Tuscan which were both bloody good cars, a couple of niggles on the Tuscan but they were sorted out and we finally had 18 months of very reliable running out of it. James uses all of his TVR's as everyday cars, which actually helps them to be more reliable IMO. We now have a T350c and we love it to bits. James reckons its better put together than the other two even. But there will be others out there who will have had problems with theirs. Unfortunately it is a lottery which I am glad to say we have come out of really well time after time.
At the end of the day you have owned TVR's so you pretty much know what to expect, so its down to you to make the big decision, whether to jump back into TVR ownership or not.
If it was down to me, I would say get one, they are fantastic
Edited to add, just re-read your post and noticed you were asking about the T350T, can't really comment on whether you should go for that or not as I don't really like it. Have you read the threads on it and seen the piccies?

Harbourside,
In my opinion if you left TVR ownership because of a bad experience with a car then don't come back.
As Mrs Fish has pointed out getting a good car is a bit of a lottery and unfortuntely the odds in the TVR lottery are not favourable. You only need to look on this forum to see that the build quality of cars coming out of the factory is still appalling. I have had three TVR's, my current a Tamora has taken nearly a year to get right. I think if it wasn't for that fact that I have another sports car, this car would have been sold ages ago. Working TVR's are great car's to drive and I love them to bits, but that alone is not enough to convince me to buy another.

Because there is a chance you will get another bad one. I've had two in row ( and I know others who have more than one as well ) so the odds aren't exactly stacked against it.

If you want to edge your bets buy a domonstrator. Mine is a demonstrator then owned then bought by me.
TVR only seem to be judged on the poor cars :scrathchin:
How many top bannana ones exist i wonder
IVE HAD NOT ONE PROBLEM...........:big grin:
Awaiting Flasher to comment
I would hate to disspoint you Lisa....
Good point about buying a demo car. My Tamora was the TMS demo car and I did 12,400 miles in 10 months without a single issue. It never broke down, was built to perfection and aside from some software niggles with the dashboard it was a total pleasure to own and drive.

They can't be all that bad because I have brought one a Targa in Crystal Topaz. No problems as of yet but hardly had it five mins. Time will tell.
Disagree with you aboout the Elise though had Two now, a Mk 1 with a 160bhp conversion which I managed to park under a mini bus! And a Std Mk2 120bhp. Yes they are down on power to all of the TVR range, but I enjoyed every minute in both (appart from the crash of course). Neither versions can be called slow with 0-60 in 5.5 secs for a std car. My friend has a 4.0 Chimera, I could leave him for dead on the twisties and up to about 80 or 90 keep with him on the straights aswell . If you think the Elise is to small check the dimension of the T 350, because there's not alot in it. The T 350 feels bigger because the Elise has Two very wide sills and you sit more centrally. It has a lot bigger boot though, but then it's bound to have being front engined not Mid. I love my T 350 but will alway's have a soft spot for the Elise whichever the model.
