i don't know about regulation in USA
but must be a way as you can register ULTIMA, NOBLE, GINETTA, BIRKIN, COBRAs, exc........
why only TVR is out?

I just went through that (trying to import to USA). After living here 10 years, I going back to the USA. I just sold my lovely Chim because I could not take it back with me. I called an importer in California who specializes in importing cars for people like me, and he told me that TVRs were definately out.
The problem is not emmisions like most people think.. it's that TVR has never done any kind of crash testing... anywhere. I would have to have done that myself.. which to say is out of the question.
I could however take my car over for a year, at which point I would have to ship it back over to the UK. That really wouldn't cost too much... less that a thousand dollars each way to ship it, plus about 300 dollars import fee. I was almost tempted.....
