Hi all

opinions formed yet on the reviews in Evo and Autocar?

My 2p worth - great stuff in both mags, could have done without:

a) Messrs Meaden and Barker narrowly choosing the Clio V6 as the winner in their group test - yes, you did hear that correctly!

b) David Vivian wittering on about The Matrix Reloaded rather than talking about the car

good stuff though - what do you think?

cheers

I read the report this morning and couldn't believe all the drivel about The Matrix.

Most of the comments about the car were very complimentary, although almost anyone could have written the article purely by copying comments posted on PH by enthusiatic owners smitten with their new cars.

The most disappointing aspect was that all the performance figures were estimated, so Autocar had obviously not had an opportunity to test it thoroughly.

I was hoping to see a 0-60 time of 4.0 seconds, which would have made it quicker than a Griff 500.

I agree Robert!

I wouldnt mind the stuff about teh matrix if there was actualy more about the car as well. Seemed to use a hell of a lot of words to say very little. Basicaly the handling has improved but dosnt go into detail give experiences to back it up etc.

Why how fast is GRIFF 0-60 anyway

edited for spelling cos i'm fic

About as long as it takes to read this sentence

I have variously seen 4.1s or 4.2s quoted.......

Press car featured in evo looks like the spectraflair silver one from the show. Besides the glovebox, the photographs did not reveal any of the later mods; easy open indentation beneath the rear glass (external ashtray), speakers in doors, rear stowaway bit etc. Noticed that the rear glass is same as mine, despite rumours of it being redesigned.

Read the autocar review, as mentioned previously waste of ink really, pictures weren't even that great.

Looking forward to a decent read of EVO when it arrives. The articles and photography are a world apart (shame about that bloody Clio V6!)

There's a review on the Auto Express site of a T350 C with the "TVR100" numberplate.
One of the pictures shows the speakers in the door panels, and they also mention the luggage cover in the article.
I think it is the same car as in Evo, as Evo is now part of the same group as Auto Express.

I don’t like those speakers much, they look a bit intrusive.
I’m sure they could have done something a bit neater.
I think I saw a picture of a T350 were the speakers were built into the door pockets. It looked much better.

My Evo still hasnt arrived .

Which car wins the shoot out. I'm now seriously considering a T350C. Cerb has been gone over a month and still got withdrawal symptoms .

Top Gear Mag rubished the T350C for build quality.

Check it out the T350C is a great car, but trys to cut the arm of the TG reporter.

just read the EVO shootout with the T350c

It beats a VX220T round a partialy wet track!

Guess its handling is much improved on other TVR's which are supossed to be a bit of a hanful in the wet.
(never driven one going on anecdotal evidence)

I want one I dont really understand the choice of teh V6 over the trev but they gave the 350 a good write up.

Hope it comes tomorrow.
