Following another bout of major electrical fun and games with the Tamora, I now have a totally drained battery. The doors are closed and I cannot open them, could somebody drop me an e-mail with any clues as to how to open the doors with no power.

Thanks,

Bob

The manual door releases are in the footwells - a red t-bar handle on the outside of the footwell, under the dash. Easy to reach from inside and out.

Tough luck with the electrics - minor short/faulty earth connection somewhere, probably. The speed actuator fell off mine, and shoted out the dashboard lights, as well as no speed/mileage registering. I can't work out how a rear axle component selectively shorted out the dash1

BTW - sorry for deleting a couple of posts - security an' all that!! No offence

No problem deleting posts Nubbin very sensible! Posted late on Friday on the off chance someone was online and could assist me in getting my house keys out of the car rather than having to wait for a re-charge or jump start!

Having a bit of an electrical nightmare at the moment as the car has a mind of its own in which all doors, windows, lights, speedo and alarm choose when and how they operate. A bit disconcerting when the doors decide to open as you are driving along.

Usually culminates with everything going mad for 10 minutes and then not being able to turn the lights off.

Still love the car, I'll just be happier when I know what it is going to do next!!

Sounds like one of those clown cars you see at the circus. There must be a short somewhere. Get your dealer to check it ASAP - obviously there is a safety issue with the doors opening on the move.

That is itself odd, because the central locking activates when the car sets off, so the doors cannot open at speed. The window switches are a bit of a law unto themselves - mine have misbehaved several times, until I removed the alloy switch panel, put it back on, and it has worked fine ever since! It may be that threatening the window switch panel with replacement by a younger, fitter model made it stop sulking. Who says cars don't have feelings?!!

Cracking colour BTW! Have you any other photos that show it off? I wondered about TVR purple, but went for Grigio Alloy after a severe "NO!" from Mrs. Nubbin

As we sit here now the doors are in a perpetual state of opening, even with the doors open the mechanism is whirring away to its hearts content!!

I do have some more pictures, I'll get them posted. I was considering Chameleon Orange at one point, however, there was more than a "NO!" from Mrs Ardoyne!
