Anyone else sick of paying throught the nose for TVR bits. Has anyone started an altentavive parts list yet.

I used to have a Griff (until I drove it into a brick wall backwards at 80mph)and there plenty of info on whwre to source parts at a fraction of TRV costs.

If no none has started compiling a list yet for Tams, Sags, and T350 then its about time we did.

I would gladly do it but my comuter skills wont allow. Bit cheeky this - but any volunteers ???

I agree that this sounds like a good idea, especially for those who don't live near a TVR dealer/specialist but have more mainstream dealers nearby.

I have the ability to create this, to which I can add the inclination to do so if a few more people think it is a good idea?

What say you?

First useful item for the list then -

Spent ages trying to get locking wheel nuts. Finally dicovered they are 1/2 inch UNF thread. (even the TVR dealers I rang had no idea)

I learnt recently that the anti-roll bar on a T350 is from a Mercedes ... Sprinter van. Oh, and the expansion cap is a Mk1 Golf

Started doing this and supplying users last yr. To be fair, most dealers are now also rather more willing to do a deal and negotiate with customers than they used to be.

Not sure. The new Power Bilsteins are for the Tusc, Tam T350 'family', but each might be a different part no. I've got a set of original '03 T350 rear dampers/springs if you need them.

When on a 350? Over the last 18 months there was no such thing as "standard" shock absorbers on any of the cars made, it was whatever was to hand that could (mostly) make a set of 4 up. There were (allegedly) plenty of cars produced with mix and match components on each corner. For the purposes of discussing what *should* be standard, I would draw a line after 05 cars to be honest and just use up till then.

PSA in general isnt it? I was always told Citreon, so presume its a standard PSA part? Must admit, it isnt something Ive actively looked at.

Dont know for sure but since the hubs are off a US car you could try Chrysler for wheel bearings

David, that link seems to be dead now, but do you know if that wiki still exists?

Alan/David,

The alternative parts Wiki for the Speed 6 is on the....Speed 6 forum.

Think anything "off the shelf" for the T-car chassis is listed there too.
