Have a good check at the bodywork all over.
Other than that you can then start to compile a list of niggles that your dealer will sort at the 1000 mile service.
Good luck.......

I agree.. the main thing is bodywork.. most Tamoras and T350s have been back for defective paintwork.. had i noticed mine i wouldn't of signed the dotted line.. All sorted now though and much better than factory paint finish too.. lost the car for six weeks in the end.. had to go back twice.. missed something the first time.. was painful at the time but glad to have it back for this beautiful weather we've been having..

All the paintwork I had done under warranty was done at my dealer's local bodyshop, ie. Team Proactive.
I suppose if the problem's bad enough you can insist it's returned to Blackpool?

Got to be honest, but judging from what I have read on PH along with my own experience, the local dealers actually do a better job of spraying than Blackpool. Mine went back for full front end and Castle did a fantastic job.

It's a shame that so many cars leave the factory in such a state that they need to go back to the paint shop. I think it may have something to do with the cars leaving the factory too quickly after painting therefore not letting new paint time to settle and be vetted?

Enjoy your car and if your dealer is as good as mine was they will fix any snags at the 1000 mile services without any qualms!

Snazza.. most TVR dealers use paint shops outside the factory and are definitly better.. most problems with the factory paint is where the panels are joined together which leaves a ripple going through the paintwork afterwards for some reason or another.. Take a look at most Tamoras and your see what im talking about.. some colours obviously will look worse than others..

I must be the odd one out here, paintwork is fine on mine, better than I expected!

The only blemish the car came with was a tiny raised bit on the drivers door mirror, as if a Midge had landed on it while the paint was still wet. Certainly not an obvious thing or anything to complain about IMO.

It is going in on Monday to repair and repaint under the front number plate though, all I will say is beware of any curbs when parking............

I agree on the paint job quality. My car arrived 2 weeks ago, and the paintwork was very poor. On top,
by polishing it (done at the factory) they made lots
of scratches. The car looked like it had been through
the car wash for 50 times...
Now it's back at the dealer to rectify.
It's a pity that the factory is not inspecting this,
and certainly not acceptable on a 40k+ car !
So check this in the sunlight, because on my car it was
not visible when the car was inside the workshop.

Good luck
