Hey all,

After leaving my car (2003 Tamora) standing for several hours (usually overnight) I start her up to be faced with an EFI Fault warning and Oil pressure Sensor warning on the LCD dash (the dash fails to log any change in oil pressure for the first few miles and then suddenly springs into life). It's only when the car has been left standing for a long time and the engine is cold. Been back to the dealer and they reset the dash etc but the problem still persists. It's in for its 1K service on thursday so they're gonna investigate further then.....any ideas.......water on connectors etc?

I normally get the Oil Pressure Sensor warning everytime I start the car.
It only comes on for a second or so and cancels itself straight away as the oil pressure rises.
Nothing to worry about but just get your dealer ton check and confirm.
Cheers.... Andrew

Sorry my fault.......I get the oil pressure warning everytime I start up which goes on it's own but when cold I also get "oil Pressure Switch fault code 18" (I have to manually clear it with the rest buttons to get rid).......trying to trace my steps back and I think It started to happen once I'd washed the car off......could it just be water on the sensors.....is it that easy?!
