My Tamora LCD display takes at least 10 minutes to become visible - any other observations?

I had all kinds of weird problems with mine, dimming out, haywire graphics to name a few. In the end the factory replaced the LCD itself and the control unit which seems to have cured it completely as I haven't had any issues since. I would get your dealer to play with connections to start with and if that doesn't work have both the LCD and control unit replaced.

Yes... Mine's exactly the same!

Bit annoying in bright sunlight as you really can't see a thing for the first 10 minutes...
I resort to switching the lights on which helps as I've set a different contrast/brightness for lights on/off.

Anyone else with this problem? I really don't fancy having the LCD unit sent back to Blackpool though - not now that the sun is out!

Yes, mine is the same, and several people have mentioned it previously. I asked the factory to look at it, and they just fiddled with the contrast/brightness. I've come to accept it as part of the joys of TVR ownership.

Same for me too! It's pretty annoying bit I've learned to live with it!
I've changed the "side light" settings so they can be used when cold. Then as it warms up I switch the lights off as the "off" settings are OK by then!
I did ask the factory to look at it recently but they just said that does take a few minutes to warm up!
Cheers..... Andrew

It would be interesting to see if any later Tamora's have this problem. Mine does not have this issue nor any of others which many have had in the past, since everything was replaced. I wonder if its another of the "known issues" which have been fixed but the factory are not prepared to retrofit and instead make a "they all do this Sir" type response.

Any owners with the the new front light arrangement have this ? or T350 owners ?

They did the same with mine, which meant that the display was visible from cold, but the clarity once warm was not as good as I had it set to before.

I changed it back and accept the fact that generally speaking the LCD comes to life round about the same time that the oil is up to temp.
