The final straw? It's bloody close....
Discussion
I'm reaching the end of my tether with TVR.
So far in three weeks I have had this lot of shite:
1. Coolant pissing all over the garage floor.
2. Shite paintwork on the rear end of the car requiring half of it to be resprayed.
3. Fuel filler that is about as useable as a chocoalte tea-pot.
4. Horn assembly not secured to the car, ie:hanging by the bloody wire in the nosecone.
5. A tailgate that TVR didn't bother to design properly so I have to break all my bloody fingernails trying to prise it open.
6. Rattling exhaust that wasn't put on properly.
7. Come home from work park on my drive leave the car with the handbrake full on and an hour later I watch the car roll down the drive and knock my parents wall down, causing further damage to the already aforementioned paintwork (sic)
8. and finally the cherry on top of the icing on the facking shitcake, picked it up from service tonight drove to the petrol garage and after the obligatory fuel pissing all over the back of the car trying to fill up, the thing wont start. 10 minutes later and after much embarrasment I finally get the poxy thing going only for it to sound like a VW beetle with the exhaust missing. black smoke everywhere I limp back to TMS to give the bloody thing back.
Basically I have paid over £40,000 of my hard earned money to drive a facking courtesy Volvo S 40. I've emailed TVR two bloody weeks ago to complain and so far not even an acknowlegdgement.
Pissed off? Me? Five TVR's I have bought now, and I have a sneaky feeling that will be the final count if this carries on. I'm making it public and I'll keep you informed of how TMS treat me and if things improve......
I'm off out on the piss now to drown my sorrows and my anger....

Reject the fcuking thing ? Even TVR are obliged to provide products that are fit for purpose [excited4yearoldmode] I still wanna Tuscan though [/excited4yearoldmode]
Edited to add (cos it chewed my post first time round (did Ted buy the bb software from Blackpool ?)):
Bad luck Flasher, I hope things improve soon with the car. You don't give the impression that a German hairdresser mobile would suit your needs, even if it was totally reliable...

Really sorry to hear this Flasher, as I know how much you were looking forward to getting it and you, especially on here, are always trumpetting TVR as having got over the days of making sports cars that break down and are unreliable.
I know you enjoyed your Tamora a lot and to trade that one for this one, you must have been pretty sure you the reliabilty factor with the cars had been solved. And all the SP6 probs too.
I kow that all these things shold have been sorted at the factory, but surely what were your dealers doing on the PDI? Christ, they keep the car for long enough once the factory have delivered it!
I sincerely hope you manage to sort this out amicably wiith TMS and the factory Flash ...
Hell hath no fury like buying a shit TVR.
Preume Bennno's happy with his ... so far!

Come on now Flasher, you must have realised by now,
THEY ALL DO THAT SIR!
COME ON TVR GET YOUR SODDING FINGER OUT!
The man is in great pain! He needs your help and he needs it NOW!
And by the sound of things, if he doesn’t come up trumps he could well be posting on a different forum in the future.
Hope you get a satisfactory rapid solution Flash.

Flasher - you've fogotten the golden rule of buying a TVR. Never, ever, under any circumstances, buy a new TVR model until it has been in production for at least 12 months so that some other poor buggers can go through the pain of the teething problems and TVR fix those problems. Think of it as the Microsoft delivery model for cars.
Unfortunately you are one of the aforementioned 'poor buggers'.
I'm sincerely sympathetic though and hope you get all your teething problems sorted out soon.

Cheers guys, I'll answer John RB's point first.
You have to remember that the T350 is not a new model really. It's a tamora with a roof. The problems I have had so far are all niggly and down to quality control and nothing to do with the marque itself or the basic engineering.
My point is this ( and please bear in mind that it's 23:35 and I have just got back from the pub after several pints) The basic product is fantastic. It will match and probably outperform a Ferrari 360 Modena that costs three times the money, a Lambo Murcielago that costs four times the money and just about anything else you can name. But basic quality control costs nothing. They could have spottted these minor niggles at any point, corrected them and saved a whole lot of problems for me and a whole lot of embarrasment for themselves. To be fair to TMS they do appear to be embarrassed, but I'm not amused at paying £40K to drive around in a Volvo.
I have no doubt, that my car will be sorted. All the problems will be ironed out and it will be as good as any TVR I have owned. TVR have designed and built their best yet in the T350, it's just a shame that in their rush to get customer cars out to us they appear to have forgot the most important things, basic customer care and quality control.
Surely there isn't anyone on here who would feel different to me? I put my faith in them, I want them to succeed and I think all things considered I have been remarkably patient these last few weeks. Barring the silly niggles above it is a fantastic car. I just hope that once I get it back (hopefully tomorrow) that it behaves itself and I can enjoy it....

Really sorry to read about your probs. There's no doubt that TVR appear to have some design flaws here - others have mentioned the fuel filling prob and tailgate - but these will be resolved in time. There's always a few niggles like these that take the edge off the excitement of a new car / new model and being the first one in the county or whatever to have one. Yes, I suppose it is a Tam with a roof but both these items are new, so maybe for a "handbuilt" car you might cut them a little slack on these (provided you can get a quick patch downloaded to sort them).
Although a car should not leave TVR until the quality is assured, I think TMS have let you (and TVR) down pretty badly here. Duff paintwork, dangling horn () and rattling exhaust should all have been caught and sorted at the PDI.
I very much hope you'll get past this disappointment and that TMS will sort this out. You shouldn't have to go to TVR direct - it's down to TMS.

Bugger.. The car looks so good aswell. Must admit wasn't taken with the photos I've seen, but in the flesh its a different matter..
Lot of cash to pay for something you are not happy with. not good..
Had the same problems when I was working with Jag; regularly used to have the 1st few cars off the line to play around with and regular as clockwork they failed. Doesn't really help if you've paid hard earned reddies for one though..

Not sure I agree with some of that, Why should TMS bear the brunt (and the cost) of TVR not sorting quality control out? They shouldn't have to screw together a £40K car like it's some sort of kit should they?
I don't blame TMS at all.
Look, everyone who knows me, knows I defend TVR to the hilt, I always have done. I love the cars and without a doubt this one is the best yet, handling wise and general quality wise, it is very good. What I am saying here is that the long list of niggles I've had are all completely avoidable.
I still love the car and no doubt in a couple of months this will all be forgotten, but I wanted to be honest and let everyone know that at this moment in time I'm pretty hacked off, and I'm going to need some persuasion next time round when I know that a Ferrari 355 can be had for the same sort of money....

At least it looks the mutts nuts!!
Sorry to hear of your troubles flasher, tell them to take it back and you will take a replacement in a couple of months when they have got them sorted.
Hmm, wasn't their some guy a couple of years who tried just that and was told to basically F off by Wheeler in person.
Same sort of problems, tried for months to get it sorted then made the "mistake", in desperation, of going to the courts/papers. Ended up Very Messy.
Please keep things in perspective here. I've got no intentions of handing the car back, because they have already sorted out most of the niggles. I love the car, it's everything I expected and more with the exception of having all these stupid faults. The basics of the car are fine and in most areas it's by the far the most advanced, well built and well developed TVR I have owned.
I'm talking basic quality control here. Every single fault in the list at the top of this thread is down to quality control at the factory....
Found myself defending the name of TVR in the pub last night, but really when you look at the list of stupid faults above you can't blame people for taking the piss out of me....

I do this all the time... have a few ales and start singing the praises of TVR/my car. Next day hungover get in the car and pray it'll be having another good day... Got to love em... got to hate em..

I was about to say you were barmy Flasher (I'm in a really foul mood this morning) but I'm impressed that you're willing to be one of the unpaid development team. What people put up with says a lot for the experience of driving the cars when considered against the reality of owning them
