Don't want to be flash but just need to share it with people who understand the buzz this is giving me. Sorted the finance for a T350C this evening and will confirm order tomorrow and off to the factory on Friday to agree the spec'. Lotus Lazer blue looks favourite at the moment but reflex charcoal (as featured on this forum) looks good too but don't think I can run to that. Still undecided about air-con. Ain't life grand!

Anyone need any pics taking while I'm there?

Actually its two grand.....for air con that is. Go for it....if the heat soak is anything like the Tuscan's, its a no brainer....IMH and skint O, of course.

Snakes,

can you please take some pics of my car on the assembly
line. It's a dark green Tuscan LHD, with tan interior.
I think it will be almost finished by then. I'm really looking forward to see the car, after a wait of 20 months...

Many thanks,

Koen.

yes, 20 months is very long, but the last 2 weeks seem
to be even longer. From the moment that the car went in production, Tuscanitis became worse...
The reason why it took so long was the delay of the finished LHD conversion. Homologation is still a bit difficult, because we must first get a british numberplate, before we can get it registered in
Belgium. That will probably take an extra couple of weeks...
I'm looking forward to your pictures anyway.
Thanks in advance !

Koen.

Hi Snakes
Having owned my Tamora through the last winter, I can vouch for the Heat soak you get from the S6 engine. I was actually able to drive down the motorway with the roof panel out in the middle of November and feel quite warm. In the summer with full roof down it gets very hot when car is stationary. I haven't got a/c which in hind sight maybe I should have.
I have sat in a T350, and IMHO don't think it would be wise not to have A/C:- this may also have a big effect on later residual value.

hope you enjoy the whole buying/speccing experience as much as I did.

If you arent going to have air con in your t350 then it would be worth getting it modified to feature full internal pine cladding, a metal bucket with lava rocks, towel rails and wooden benches to replace the seats.

Its probably the first extra that needs to be ticked.

*edited to add, a 20 minute timer, temperature guage and optional tinted windows for user privacy.

For a closed TVR, air con is compulsory, especially for residual value. It will be needed!!

Snakes, as far as colour, may I suggest you look at the colour of my Tamora - Grigio Alloy - it isn't spectacular, but in sunlight, or in dull light on cloudy days, it almost glows with colour. Benno commented favourably on it when he saw me in Blackpool recently. I think it would look fabulous(and a bit different to the usual) on a T350. Just a thought!

Post of the week mate, sat at my desk in tears reading that!!!

Snakes, FFS, don't spend £3000 on paint and totally devalue your car by not having air-con. We all agree that at £1923 it's a bloody rip off, but like COOPS my Tamora, even with the roof down was unbearable in hot weather, the heat soak from the Speed Six engine is quite severe at times.

Went to the factory today. Chose RBB in the end. I thought Lazer blue wasn't quite so classy. Lisa and Danielle looked after me (thanks for a great day if you're reading this!) really well. Two really nice people.

Didn't remember to ask for your T350C until we got to the assembly area Christof (I was too excited!) and I'm afraid it wasn't in there. They reckoned a silver one had just been sent to the dealers so here's hoping?

Saw your Tuscan Koen - I'll email the pics direct to you now. It looked great and almost finished. It was being driven as I saw it in a couple of different areas of the factory (it was flippin' following me!)

Anyway, spec chosen - 50 days and counting until delivery .

Snakes,

Did you see in your excited state a cameleon green t350c with blue/black interior.

Dealer was expecting it this week but so far no sign of it so either at the factory or gone AWOL. Do they play this card on purpose to get owners in a frenzy of anticipation

Have you asked for 50 days lead time specifically as they seem to be taking a lot less to build them

Also I've been asked by my dealer to pay for the car as its left the factory as opposed to when i take delivery. Something about the dealer having to pay TVR out of thier own pocket. Its not a big problem just wanted to know if this is normal practice.....
