My Tamora is off the road
Discussion
How nice has it been over the past two weeks, no rain, dry roads and loads of sun.
What cant I do? Drive my Tamora because its in the shop with an electrical fault. Driving arround quite happily and the it just stopped, no warning.
The garage () have now had the car for almost two weeks and still have not fixed the problem and frankly I am pissed off.
Is this typical? Has this happened to anyone else?

Basically, unless you kick up like f**k they wont do anything...
If it has a problem they can't sort out then it needs to have the Ecu sent back to Blackpool, I know of an engine that was re-built and returned and the car was back on the road in 5 days flat....
This shouldn't happen , but as usual it's down to the dealer and not TVR themselves....

Ed,
Similar thing happened to me earlier this week. Car suddenly cut out, windows opened, doors opened and the alarm went off. Shut everything down, but then could not start the car or turn the lights off. After much messing about had the car recovered by the RAC and kept overnight with them whilst I established what to do with the car (as there is now no TVR dealer in Scotland - thanks to Claire at Dreadnought for her help in the absence of a dealer). The following morning decided to recharge the battery, as it was flat due to not being able to turn off the lights, and give it a try. Car started no problem and has been fine since .
Apparently, there have been problems on the Tamora with the light relays earthing on the relay box. Not sure if this is my problem, but will have it checked out at its first service.

Ed, unless your dealer has been working solidly on your car for 2 weeks then it's time to get firm with them.
Even if they have been working on it for 2 weeks then there's got to be a time when they hold their hands up, say they can't fix and seek help from the factory.
For the 2 problems I've had with mine (door, window) my dealer fixed them temporarily on the day they happenned and permenanty a day later when the new parts arrived from the factory. Maybe this is because they new that the Tamora is my only car?
Cheers...... Andrew
