Due to an unfortunate incident.. which involved the missus.. one of the wheels on my Tamora is now grated half way around.. noticed Wicked Wheels on a previous post was recommended.. has anyone else used them sucessfully or can anyone give me a better remedy? P.S. Can anyone tell me how much a new Spider wheel costs as a last resort?

Without wishing to blow my own trumpet I kerbed one of my alloys and made a rather good job of repairing it (he said modestly!)
My remedy - I used some very fine wet and dry and smoothed away all the roughed up wheel edge. I then aplied some alloy paint lightly wiping it around the damaged rim with a piece of soft lint-free cloth. Let it dry - rubbed it down with wet and dry. Applied another coat of paint and repeated the process until I was happy with the result. My wheel damage doesn't sound as extensive as yours but I was chuffed with the result. I have to look really close to see where I've effected the repair - and no, I haven't got bad eyes, I've had them lasered .
Might be worth a try and save you the cost of a wheel.

I know how you feel mate.. except your unfortunate incident sounds alot worse.. the only plus point from all this is the missus has agreed not to drive the car again.. some how i think it might of been a blessing in disguise..

Thanks guys.. was going to opt for the repair and even tackle it myself after hearing Grahams success story.. but if the wheel only costs 140 plus v.a.t i'll probably end up replacing it..

Wicked Wheels repaired the 18" Spider on mine, which included damage to the rim and a couple of spokes.

Looking at it now, you would never know that it had been damaged and the cost was only £40 plus VAT.

If you want, I can e-mail you some pictures of the wheel before and after the repair.
