Took my car out for the 1st time in 3 weeks yesterday and found that the brakes had stuck. (not the handbrake as I generally leave that off and car in gear) I actually had to accelerate above idle(1000 revs) to move the car. All seemed fine after warming car and brakes up. I am assuming this is due to the cold spell and maybe the damp atmosphere but is their a quick, cheap and relativeley painless way of avoiding this? Car is kept in the garage( which has air bricks ventilation)so not too damp and is used at least every fortnight, (sorry I know that is bad!)
I have thought of buying a dehumidifier but am not keen to leave something electrical on constantly whilst I am not there.

Coops, I get this as well even after only a couole of days although I had assumed it was the handbrake?
Car's going back to the factory today (I know I've been saying this for a week but the keep postponing thr collection!) and it's already on my list of niggles.
I'll let you know what they say.
Cheers.... Andrew

Seems to be a general TVR problem. Both my chim and tuscan did it, normally after a week standing still in the garage, with or without the handbrake on.

I never bothered asking the factory whether they could do anything about it.... would be interested on the outcome of any factory advice.

I hope they sort all your niggles out Andrew, just on your point my dealer did suggest not to leave handbrake on if car is left for any length of time (don't know how you get round that one if you live on a hill)I think if the hand brake sticks it is a much bigger problem.
still driving me made wheather we have met before, what line of business are you in?

My brakes have been sticking quite badly recently. I Even needed a new set of pads after all 4 rears cracked down the middle. Think I'll leave the handbrake off from now on...good tip!!
