Tamora Owners Day Out - Pics
Discussion
Great pictures Frostie,
Can't believe I did not have the car. I was gutted I could not make it.
I’m picking it up on Wednesday after a few bits of paintwork and some other small niggles fixed. Hopefully it will be fully sorted then………………
I agree with everyone else, lets arrange it again for the spring or summer.
Cheers,
Nick

Hopefully have another meet in the summer....
Why is that? I remember a few weeks ago it had problems with steam coming from exhaust etc, but what is wrong this time?
Is it just that it wasn't repaired properly last time? This is the main annoyance I have with dealers (all of them I've known) that far, far, far too often problems are not fixed properly.
No - a brand new problem I am proud to say (!!). Came home on Saturday evening and the ignition would not turn off! Had to stall the engine to turn it off and try to ply the key out which resulted in the key breaking in the ignition.Very annoying. The dealer collected the car this morning - with a flat battery of course as the ignition was still on as couldn't be turned off!
That car has been back to the dealer so many times that I really want to say that I hate the car but I just can't........
Hopefully it will be back soon though!

My dealer fixed mine with some grease!
I'm not sure that would be an improvement, haven't you heard of the major issues VW group have with Coil packs, large numbers of owners have had cars off the road for months whilst VW try to fix the problem. Affects mostly 1.8T, v5 and v6 engines in VW, Seat, Audi and Skoda. If that's better I'll stick with Ford!

I really feel for you Tam Girl.
My car is exactly the same - seems like everytime I do any kind of mileage something goes wrong. At the owners day out on Sunday I had three problems, all stupid small things, but things that needed tools to fix.
I'm probably going to get shot down for this and it pains me to say it, but the build quality on the current range of TVR's is utterly appalling IMHO. I work with somebody who recently took delivery of a new Tuscan and his fault list at it's 1000 mile service was a whole A4 sheet long. The really frustrating thing is that most of the problems were the really common ones like doors & windows.
Something drastic needs to happen at the factory for me to ever purchase another one. I like you purchased my car for driving not spending half its life stuck in a dealers workshop.
