Oh please no...

My lovely Tamora decided that it wanted to be friends with the grass verge, a lamp post and a warning sign as I pulled onto the A40 this morning.
Unfortunately this means isn't going to be at the coachworks for some time as the panels are looking pretty smashed up...sniff.
Fortunately nobody was hurt.
Please tell me its going to be OK...sniff

Very sorry to hear this!! Glad you are ok and no one else hurt! I had a near miss last Oct with the car doing a nice neat 180 despite my attempts to correct...it all felt rather odd as previously, the car had been very well mannered with the back end snapping back in nicely (even in the wet) plus I am an experienced Canadian driver, so know how to handle a skid. It was dark, so I could not check properly, but I think that there could have been diesel on the road...apparently motorcycle groups are campaigning since truck drivers are prone to over-filling to reduce pit stop frequency . Hope that you will still be coming to Shuttleworth for some moral support. Regards, Steve
Tyre/road temperature can make a big difference to traction at this time of year, even when driving in the rain.
I'd never really noticed this until I got my Chimaera, but when driving it in the winter I always do some hard accelerations/decelerations to warm tyres & brakes up before pushing on.
Edited to add: Big commiserations on your accident! Hope it is back on the road soon.....
