My Tamora was recently back at the factory having a number of modifications carried out, one of which involved some work to the seatbelt feeder, which had become jammed in the past when the roof was lowered.

I e-mailed pictures of the mod to a numberof other owners earlier today, and they had not seen this arrangement in a Tamora before.

If anyone's interested, there are a couple of pictures on www.tvrcars.biz/factory_modifications.htm

Many thanks to the factory and TMS who both did an excellent job

Blimey, that's quite a mod. Could do with that on a Chimaera, an S...

Rob, I had the 'mod' fitted by my dealer a few months back. The black bit at the centre of your picture is the same as mine but I haven't got the leather/bison surround!
Cheers.... Andrew

I also have had the mod but not the surround. Did TMS do it under warranty?

The seatbelt mod and a number of other items were done by the factory free of charge/under warranty.

The only job that I had to make a contribution towards, was the replacement of the original Bison with a full leather interior.

I had a mod done back in Oct - the rather nasty black cap that is stuck to the seatbelt mounting bolt! This looks like a much more sophisticated mod. The black bit in the center looks like the original feeder mechanism to me

I've also only got the nasty black bit but I've asked for the full cowling foc on safety grounds - pushing the seat fully back jams the belt against the b-pillar with potentially lethal consequences. I suspect the factory realise this.....

I noted these covers on the Tamora at the motorshow. I have a factory service later this month, and this is one mod. I expect to have done FOC. Robertm - can you e-mail me with the other mods the factory did for you? Cheers.

Although I have had the standard mod and it seems to keep belts clear of roof okay ( not that I have tested it on full convertable due to weather conditions)sending my car back to Blackpool for this upgrade seems a bit drastic. Does anyone know of any dealers doing the work in house?

mine's at the dealers now and I made it clear I dont want it back until the belts are safe, will keep you posted. Try pushing/reclining the seat back and you'll see what I mean.......
