STEREO UPGRADE
Discussion
I am sure that I am not alone in thinking that the speakers(standard) in my Tamora are not up to it. Although I prefer to hear the note of the S6, when I do use the CD/radio I would prefer to hear good sounds as opposed to occasional speaker Farts. Anyone out there upgraded? I don't want to spend a fortune but I would like to find someone reliable who I can trust to cut and play (electrically only of course)with my pride and joy. So looking for any hints as to what to put in and any shop in the south east anyone may have used previously.
merry xmas to all and happy tivving!!!

Several upgrades mentioned, including hatchn (www.tvrcars.biz/tamora.htm) and a few others. I think it was Lance Russell who added a small Blaupunkt subwoofer, and larger speakers. I intend to do the same at some point.
Hi ecfs,
Were did they put the front speakers exactly ?
Do you know what make and model they were ?
I keep thinking about putting some in the front too.
I have a new Pioneer head unit running to a AMP with 8" speaker in the back but I would still like some sound in the front.
Can you hear the front speakers ?
Any pictures ?
Cheers,
Nick

ecfs said: coops, don't know if you've already had anything done, but i'm very pleased with what wentworth car stereos in virginia water did for me - fitted blaupunkt woodstock head unit with 8" pioneer speakers in rear and small tweeters in front footwell.
they fit all stereos for marinello, so i think you can trust them. they also showed me some pictures of another tamora they had done (think it was electric blue)

COOPS, Wentworth Car Stereos fitted 8" Pioneer Speakers in my Tamora last summer, so it may well have been mine in the photo shown to ecfs, as I believe that it was the first they had done.
They did a great job and the sound quality is excellent. I'm not sure of the exact cost, as they fitted a laser diffuser at the same time , but it seemed pretty reasonable.

I've also added tweeters on the dash at the front, which balance the sound very well.

Let me know if you want to meet some time to have a listen?
