Can anyone tell me realistically when I can apply full throttle after 1000 mile service?

Having just had my car back after it's 1000 mile service, advise given to me by my dealer was as long as the car is warmed up properly and all fluid levels are checked and adhered to, car can be driven up to gear change warning lights in each gear. Realistically you are not going to exceed this in 4th or 5th on the roads. IMHO car should be taken up the rev range gradually and regularly for another 100 miles or so.
