Surprised there has been no comment on the Tamora road test in August''s Top Gear mag. They seemed to give it a pretty good drive and (contrary to what the knockers would have you expect) they thoroughly liked it. Rich...

I did mention it on another thread, Rich.... but yes, they did like it, although didn't seem as enthused as EVO and less so than CAR, who commented on the sharp steering and "grabby" brakes, but otherwise liked it. However, they've all driven a pre-production model, and commented on the nice dash/instruments, LOUD exhaust note, great seats, and best of all, the handling/ride from the suspension was praised - that's the best bit for showing TVR are making progress. As I' ve said before, I love my Chimaera, but it's not a happy or confident car around fast, bumpy corners. The build quallity on the test car is very good, more solid than my Chimaera, and better than the Tuscans I've driven. I hope the new wet sump speed 6 engine will be better than the Tuscan/cerby dry sump, and I can't wait to get mine!

I was up at the factory a couple of weeks ago, they are preparing a yellow Tamora for BBC Top Gear (prog not mag) to test drive, it looked to have a green tinge to it, a bit like a highlighter pen. I was told that Development teams were preparing the car whilst the workers have their 2 week holiday... cant wait for the review!

Finger follower - where did you get your information from? All the stuff I've read talks of a 3.6l wet sump engine, with belt driven cams, producing 350bhp. And when's the Top Gear Tamora test? That should get it noticed!!

I was at the factory on July 30th and they had a yellow tamora and an *amazing* "formula green" tamora just about ready to go to the dealers as demo cars. This new color formula green was really spectacular. it's a reflex/chameleon style that flip-flops from dark green to bright neon green. you have to see it. There were also a group of about 10 guys there (this was during the 2 week holiday, i got a special tour) sanding the shells on probably 5 or 6 more tamoras, that looked just about ready for paint. Unfortunately I wasnt allowed to take pictures of the tamoras. TVR and Aston Fanatic Audi TT owner Former Acura NSX owner
