On starting the Sagaris over Easter the throttle cable has snapped and left the car stuck in the garage.

I have bought a replacement cable from TVRSSW but there is a piece of the assembly missing. I think this goes back to a pervious snapped cable where the AA made up a replacement cable at the roadside. In doing so they crimped a "U" shaped piece to the engine end of the cable and threaded the new cable through the existing sleeve / casing. However, they must also have removed the original "U" shaped connector.

It is that "U" shaped connector I need as is has to fit onto the threaded end of the new cable....without it i'm stuck!

TVRSSW have tried to source a replacement but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have or know where I can find a replacement, or have any work-arounds?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry but no, that doesn't look right.

There should, from what I can tell, be a "U" shaped piece that attaches to the end of the cable and then links to the engine assembly with a cotter pin / split pin arrangement. Unfortunately, as I don't have the missing piece it's hard to describe in detail.

I think that's it. Then this is the pin that attaches it.

Might be worth a call to Motaclan to confirm.

This is the same part from Racetech if you want a stainless alternative.

Great work Basil Brush - the clevis rod is the bit i'm missing (as well as the clevis pin which is easier to come by).

Thanks for your help - I'll get an order placed!
