Hello together,

I drive my T350T with a 4.3l engine and a big bore exhaust system.
The sports muffler is brutally loud, so I'm looking for an alternative muffler.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your experiences with other mufflers.

Thanks and best regards,
Thorsten

A few companies make 'off the shelf' boxes for the T350 - ACT and Powers spring to mind - but they are 'upgrade' sports version like you have already.

You could try FB Market Place or one on the specialist breakers for a standard back box. Just need to get it to Germany biglaugh Perhaps the TVR Logistics Network could assist for the European meet at Nordschlief?

The standard silencer with de-cats is happy medium.
Also helps lesson transmission heat soak..

Following...

I dont think powers do theirs anymore, I currently have a JP or ACT (I think, old picture so its difficult to edit ) sports back box with the cats still in, and its still very loud!

I have found a standard back box but find that this is to quiet, would love an active exhaust system to have best of both worlds, there was a clip on you tube, but thats the only one I've seen. I need to do some searching to see if i can modify what i have to make whats on it now quieter or the standard one slightly louder !

I have a standard box on the shelf in the garage you’re welcome to for a donation to charity.

The Tam backbox differs slightly to the T350 - in true TVR style. There's a difference in how the pipes go into the back box - IIRC

If you already have a large bore system - it will not mate up to a std back box without modification due to the differing pipe diameters. If that is the case, there will also be a small restriction at that point.

A good day together,

many thanks for all your hints and information.
I have made a decision for original RedRose version, see picture below.
This exhaust match with the big bore system and has a good sound.
Sure under 3.000 U/min. it is quiet, but than I'm very happy......
