Just Couldn't Resist
Discussion
Well, have been to the show today, and have come home with one cheque lighter in the cheque book.
Yes, have put deposit down on new T350C
Looking at March/April next year, and A deal where I can keep the Tamora for a while longer, so those winter months will be a litle more enjoyable
Superb deal, and now just got to spec it.

Excellent Nigel!!
That's exactly what I did!! It's gorgeous isn't it? I quite fancy a silver or light colour as that will set the cars lines off better. Not at all bothered about the roof not coming off as my Cerb was so quiet with the windows closed I used to forget the utter din going on outside...until I opened the windows..
I am going to miss my Tamora though, as it's the best TVR I have ever owned for loads of different reasons. Here's hoping the T350 is even better...and just as reliable.

I initially thought a Grigio Titanio would be nice, but saw the Tuscan in that colour and it didn't look dark enough (maybe it was the lighting). Looked at darker charcoal colours like the colour on the T440.
Not sure if anyone noticed that the silver T350C had the light pod painted behind the fairing, but the reflex green car had left the pod black?
After procrastinating for ages, I went back to a lighter silver/blue - Venezian blue. It is a metallic rather than a pearl, but I don't think it lacks depth, however, I would like to see a full car done in Venezian (doesn't matter what car!) - anyone know of such an example that I can look at?
Did you guys notice that the back end is much smaller and better looking than it appears on the first piccies that appeared on Pistonheads last week? The back haunches are rounded nicely back to meet those 3200GT-esque lights. Reminded me a little of the back-end of the Tuscan race cars.
I suppose this is similar to the first reactions people had on the Tamora. These soon changed when seeing the car in the raw for the first time.
I'm like an excited kid, I can't wait....

Have you narrowed it down to any ball-park colour(s) or finishes?
Don't think a yellow or red will work. Blue would look OK. Silver/alloy/titanium would go well. The Reflex Green with blue interior on the private part of the stand looked lovely. Black would look awesome...

(Off to re-assess preliminary order.... )

Matt.
Just a grand plus VAT. The balance of the deposit up to 10% will be payable when a build slot is allocated.
Thanks Tel, I was hoping that would be the case as my dealer couldnt give me a definate answer.
All going well with the residual and that will be 4 of us this afternoon...
Matt.
I'm going on Thursday and am already jealous about the deals you boys seem to have done! I'm very tempted!
Flasher/Nigel, if it's OK with you can you email me with what you've been offered so I can compare with what my dealer offers? Completely confidential of course!
Cheers.... Andrew

I couldn't resist either. Driven two Tamora's and loved them, so placed my order on saturday at the motorshow.
Certainly going to miss my Chimaera 450 though
Has anyone heard a T350c yet ? I was told (on the stand) it sounds better than a Tamora due to different exhaust configuration, back-end did get me wondering if it was different.
Also, does anyone know if the showcars will be doing the rounds at the dealers for Demo's ??

From what I saw on staurday I reckon it should be..., it was just fantastic
A quick question though:
Given all the moaning about the Tamora's bison trim are you lot going to go for full leather? Any ideas how much this would cost?
Rob.
I am going for Full Hide. Its £2280 extra, and for me personally its the right decision. It was a toss up betwen Air-Con or full hide.
If I was going to use the car on a daily basis, I think Air-Con would be the higher priority, but as it will be a second car, I went for Full hide instead.
As regards the exhaust. It looks very much like the exhaust fitted to the TuscanR when it first appeared. Don't know whether anyone else thought the same. Anyway, I'm sure it will sound magnificant whatever.

I think that is a brave move Nigel. I reckon that aircon will be more desirable than full hide and will attract the stronger residuals. I'd love both, but I don't think I'll get very much more back on a car with full hide rather than a standard car. Just my £0.02

By the way, did anyone else have a play with the sequential box that was mounted on the plinth next to the red T400??? I wonder what that was all about....

Its going in the T400R and the T440R as soon as testing has finished.
They may even offer it as an option on the T350 by all accounts.
Matt.
Thanks Terry, You've got me thinking again.
One of the reasons, i didn't go for the Air-com is that, after speaking to a few Tuscan owners who had Air-con fitted, they said that it had failed at some point and when it was working, was't that effective.Did you have it fitted to your Tuscan?

I guess the fact that is is problematic is a pain, but at least it is fitted and effectively becomes another (albeit maybe more trouble than it is worth) plus point for purchasers/dealer when you come to sell it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love full hide, but I'll be keeping the £2k plus to go towards a future car when TVR finally put the sequential box in. :NeedASmileyForAFlyingPig:

I think it is more important in coupe cars like the T350C and the Cerbera. I didn't bother with aircon in the Tuscan as:
1. Everytime the sun decides to shine, the roof and the rear screen are dispatched to the boot quicker than you can say "sun factor 15".
2. I drive with the windows down nearly all the time anyway as I have an unbelievably loud exhaust which I want to enjoy as much as my neighbours do.

Have you considered part leather?
I'm going for Lamonta seat facings, doors and rooflining and leather round the outside of the lamonta and down the transmission tunnel. This comes in at just over £1000 rather than £2300!!
Aircon is a must for resale I think, but its easy to get carried away on just the big three options (didnt see the need for the close ratio and hydratrak) as they come in at around £6K

Hmmm... Might just do that. Especially as I am owed a favour in as much as I specced Sloe Lamonta for my Tuscan and ended up with grey instead - a suitable time to play this bargaining chip methinks...
plotloss said:Aircon is a must for resale I think,
Absolutely. Most important with a fixed head coupe.

What do you mean "the big three". Aircon, full hide and what?
