Anyone got one to sell or know what it’s off so I can get a new one?

Can’t get the old one off (sealed with loctite and been on for nearly 20 years).

Heat the nut, undo with an impact gun. Job done.

No room round the nut to get a socket over it.

I’m using a box spanner but that won’t take an impact driver torque.

I’ve got the new alternator pulley off quite easily but need a replacement TVR pulley.

So what did TVR use the pulley from?

Anyone know?

Motaclan now stock replacement alternator pulleys for the Speed6 engine.

In the past I've put an 8mm(?) allen key in the vice - the alternator shaft has an internal hex to fit the allen key, My 24mm socket would fit the nut on the pulley - just! Then I used stillsons on the socket with some pipe over the stillson handle for leverage - the nut came off.

Sounds like you need the correct tool for the job... search 'go through socket set', won't help you now but you can get a kit for about £15 when Lidl have them, invaluable for this and shock-absorbers.

New one bought.

I’ll look out for the Parkside set - not many go through socket sets have a 24mm socket.

Good shout thumbup
