T350C : Going to buy one?
Discussion
If the targa top was being lauched at the same time, I would definately put a deposit down.
If it will be available within the next 12 months, then will probably do the deed .
Just got to convince the missus that it is a good idea, after all, we have only had the tamora for 6 months. She loves it,(the Tamora that is), and has told me,(sorry, threatened me)that in no way am I to get rid of it.
Sunday will be an interesting day

As yet we don't know how much extra the targa will cost. Quick calculations put a silver T350C with air con at £39770. Once I "negotiate" a price for my Tamora, which, with the options it has would have cost £39602, then I will consider a deposit. I think I will go for the coupe rather than the Targa....not bothered about the roof coming off. It's too bloody cold here anyway!!!
Check out the new TVR website, there is some great pics on there... www.tvr.co.uk

I think the early MR2's were like this.
New web site says "two detachable roof panels overhead"....
I won't be getting one. My girlfriend HATES the shape and styling, and the fact that it's a hard top. Now, if, as Christof is suggesting, there will be a hotter version, then I might consider a hot Tamora....
I really hope this car succeeds - it has the looks to tackle Porsche etc head-on. It will be reliable, as the runing gear is fully tested from the Tamora - I agree with flasher that it is an "out-of-the-box" car, not a development hack. The moulds must be ready, so delivery in 12 weks is a distincy possibility.

Well I got very close to being talked into putting a deposit on one, not to replace the Griff but for Denise (my wife) to replace the Alfa with! She loved it, reckoned it was one of the only cars at the show to have the wow! factor, in fact I'm doing the sums this right now. Regards the targa, Ben reckoned it will be 2 x panels with a 'T' bar down the centre. Rich...
well I'm off to the motor show saturday am, and I'll certainly be carrying the chequebook.
Not sure, I do rather like my current steed but the 350c exceeded all my expectations. I will have to be convinced by the real thing, but if they can fix me one up for april delivery then I'd be mighty tempted... I've even thought up a colour scheme....

I was quoted that the targa will be four months behind the coupe, when pressed on is that four months from now or when the first customer cars appear I got a "salesmans evasive answer" so I would guess it means 4 "TVR months" ie early next summer, cost is predicted as plus £1500 it will be two seperate panels that will fit in a stowage behind the seats. I put my credit card away and left with "I'll see you in the spring"
Other little snippets are that the front number plate will be a stick on as in e-type (? legality) and the fuel filler cap has got to be addressed as the nice pull down type mechanisms on the show cars have so far cost £300 each to manufacture
