TVR Tamora Red Rose
Discussion
I own a TVR Tamora that, according to the PDI paperwork issued by the original dealer, David Gerald, has a factory Red Rose upgrade/package
And I've also got a copy of the factory order/build specification sheet that says it was ordered by David Gerald with various optional extras including "press engine, body, brakes and exhaust"
So, my question is, what exactly did/does that mean?
I've got various bits of paperwork in the extensive history file that supports a certain view, but just curious what others think....

I own a factory Red Rose T350. The build sheet states "red rose package". The package consisted of a tuned engine, big bore exhaust, larger brakes and a hydratrac diff. The original Red Rose engines were a tuned version of the 3.6, but later changed to be basically a Tuscan S engine, 4 ltr, about 380 bhp. There was an additional option of a lightweight Vinylester body, which are very rare as they were an expensive option.
I believe the press cars usually had all the options to create a favourable impression. It sounds like a great find!

I've know this car since SEN 18 owned it. First met Chris in 2006. The car has always been a beauty. Seen it many times at Track V Road in Clitheroe. Its actually a 3.6L Red Rose. It has a close ratio T5 box, Tuscan S front brakes and a light weight body (press body). The bonnet is flimsier than a flimsy thing and could really do with a second bonnet stay.
Went to see the car a few weeks ago but it had been under serviced for the past couple of years and didn't feel it was worth the money the private seller was asking so walked away.
Oh.....forgot to mention, I've just bought it from the dealer it was traded with
