This looks both interesting and futile all in one, seems to be a 'Breaker' category car that has been re-built but can never be put back on the road so would need a doner car to make it road worthy…

I think the seller knows exactly what he is selling. He knows what category it is and why it's not allowed on the road when he's pretending he doesn't.

I saw this advertised last year I think, with a different story as I remember. There is something odd about the roof panels, they are the later front back fixing design, but the body is for the earlier side mounting panels, which is wrong for the year. Although that is the least of it's problems.

And according to PorterPainters search it's a Coupe not a Targa so must have needed a roof job, which explains your observations...
