Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a spare driver’s window regulator and motor that they would be willing to part with? Alternatively does anyone know who made them originally for the factory?

Cheers!
Mark

The motor only seems to be available at parts for TVRs https://partsfortvrs.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tv...

Did you try the breakers for the regulator?

Sorry I have no specific information of the regulator and my door is currently not open. But according to the sticker it might be an Italian producer as I read „made in Italy“

From that picture they are made by Nuova SME, (I cannot see ones with the encoder, but perhaps that can be swapped over). Q. has anyone had the cable snap? are there kits to replace the cables.

Hi,

All the TVR window regulators were manufactured by Poole Clayton Automotive Limited (PCA) for the TVR factory.

PCA had some stock of the window regulator left. Most of the stock went to ACS pro many years ago.

ACS pro has still a few of the window regulator in stock.

Available are:

- M0103/4 RH/LH S-Serie, Griffith, Chimaera
- M0892/3 RH/LH Cerbera
- M1349/50 RH/LH Tuscan, Tuscan 2
- M1700/1 RH/LH Tamora, T350, Sagaris

Window lift motors are included.

The sets are new and ready for installation. But they are expensive.

They should be used only if the old window regulator has been lost or totally damaged by a crash. Otherwise repair of the old regulator would be much more cost effective.

But historically... PCA were only using Electric life power windows as a system source, you can buy the base motor (minus encoder) from them..as I cannot see them on the ACS pro site in English.
4545-00-007/8 SME Power Window Motor (I am told there are UK suppliers for Electric life, but I cannot find them)

Agree with that. PCA used several manufactures (Bosch and some other) for the motors.

But PCA told me that they have assembled (manufactured) the window regulators for the TVR factory.

The ACS pro customer base are mainly parts reseller and TVR workshops worldwide. This customer base is not interested in an internet shop. You have to contact ACS pro by mail or phone.

Following pictures of the complete window regulators M1700/M1701 for Tamora, T350 and Sagaris.

Great information ...looking today, I am seeing second hand Tamora motor/lift systems using the complete earlier Bosch motor. I am presuming that there is a cross over on the early Tamora which would not be unusual in the scheme of things (akin to things like the handbrake surround being screw-on from the top, the one piece dash without the removable radio surround and unsprung seats! with ply board bases).
I have looked over the loom construction diagrams for both the Tuscan 4/2000 using the Bosch M1151 plug and the Tamora 6/2001 SME M1692 plug, only because the car/cars evolves on from each other, Bosch versions must use an earlier encoder rather than the integral unit on the SME unit BUT with a matching controller (note that there are early and late encoders for the Tuscans, which MIGHT mean that they are using Bosch lift internals with encoders to suit/match the controllers).
Fingers crossed that the OP gets sorted. A@
