Has anyone relocated the fuse from under the air box?

If so, where to?

I suspect my alternator issue wasn't helped by the melted fuse and holder so I am going to rellocate as part of the work. Ordered the bits.

I am thinking to fit it on the bodywork flange between the oil pressure switch and the power steering pump but open to alternatives if others have done differently.

Yes, I’ve had mine done. I had it moved onto the inner wing for two reasons. Firstly, it is exposed to a little less heat, secondly, it is much easier to access in case of a problem.

Thanks for the thought Stewart. My Chimaera's 100 amp fuse is under the car, next to the very hot sump. I have burnt myself before now checking its integrity at a track day with the car half on, half off my trailer. I have also had it fail twice in 10 years, and it has had to be checked two more times. Time I found a kindser and more accessible home for it.

Moved on to a vertical face of the inner wing opposite the steering column. Cable from starter motor long enough and still in good condition. New cable made up to the alternator.
