Oil/Water heat exchanger
Discussion
Guys, I‘ve bought this OilWater heat exchange unit, which I was told came from a Cerbera ( & also used on some T cars )
Do any of you have one fitted ?
If so how‘s it plumbed in ?
I‘m thinking the water will come from the cool side of the radiator (ie outlet). & the oil comes from the pump, via a Remote Filter, then through the exchanger & back into the block.
Any thoughts ? Pictures of the real setup ?

Bit late responding but you may still be thinking it through..
All T cars have one fitted. Water is from return of rad, left to right looking at your pic, matters not, with pressured oil post pump into the inlet closest to water exit with oil out closest to water inlet. Make sense?
It matters not much which way the water flows but think best to take oil out the same end the water enters. If you undo the hex caps you can dismantle to clean, a good idea, as they collect bits of engine and most T cars lose bits of bearing, block, chain, gasket and other non essential parts in the course of their usually short lives. Silicone is the enemy, seen by many a DIY have a go hero as a BHP enhancer hence the overloading I have found more than once, resulting in death by silicone. you will need O rings, available from any good hydraulic hose supplier or I think the usual TVR parts shops. Thye are pretty cool inside, just press out the copper core carefully and clean it with love. These are a bit small so if you pumping more oil/water double up in parallel.
Remote filter, yep try an Oberg or if on a budget Burtons sell a remote with big fittings, available handed both ways and its cheap...everything else I seem to find has small fittings, anyway put the filter after the HE.
Hope not teaching you to suck eggs but check the bypass pressure on the filter you select and get max filter area possible.
