FWIW the best upgrade I’ve done on mine is changed from 18 inch to 16 inch wheels. Transformed the driving experience for me in terms of handling and comfort. I would hang on to the 16 inch wheels just in case

Have a look at the end of this thread where I asked the same question. I’m looking at 17s as well as I think they will offer the best compromise between looks and ride quality. Have no doubt 16s would ride even better, particularly as they were the original standard wheel back in the day.

What wheels are you going for? I’m awfully tempted to try a design no one has chosen before.

If the link has worked these are the wheels can be machined to any offset you like
16inch wheels look a bit small thought 17inch would be a good compromise

Very similar to SP12s. Should look good.

Just a thought. I’m currently running 235/35/18s on the rear. Mathematically I should go for 235/40/17s to keep the same rolling radius. However, given the speedo isn’t the most accurate in the world anyway, it probably wouldn’t do any harm to swap for 235/45/17s. Only question is, will they rub the arches? Anyone know?
