If you were to sell your Sagaris...
Discussion
I'd be in a box so nothing. Yes punches above it's weight in smiles per mile and comfort but the fact it can draw a crowd away from most Ferraris and Lamborghinis never ceases to amaze me. They are getting on for 20 years old now but don't show it.
The only car my wife falls asleep in, even the XC90 can't do it (maybe when we tour with another Sag her drinking friend may be influencing her to party hard...).
Can return 40 miles to a gallon... wife could never do maths.
Draws a crowd, so far to date always been positive comments.
Sounds nice and looks nice.
Cheap to service Vs others, fluids/filters etc every year. Easy to DIY.
Most parts available and what isn't can be made.
Rare.
So why sell that?

If you don't go for one of the later Tuscans (similar performance, still rare, possibly easier for passenger), then, as your profile garage has covered some other cars..
Lotus Emira/Evora, Exige Roadster, Alpine 110, ?
New or relatively new shapes, still rare, have their own USP, more modern with better comforts & crash protection. 'Auto' gearbox helpful for injuries?
The Sagaris is near the top of the 'Bonkers' Scale, so difficult to replicate unless you go extreme, but this may put wife off (other wives are available), or affect injuries?
Leftfield choice a restomod type classic, to get benefits of modern engineering, with rare looks?
Best wishes in whatever you choose!

As a TVR nutcase, seeing any Tiv in the wild gets me all giddy. Seeing a Sag is a rare treat, I think I've mainly only seen 1 or 2 pootling around, ever (if you ignore going to car shows and whatnot). I'd love to own one, one day; but with what they've appreciated to in value, I doubt that will ever happen.
I hope you can get some more enjoyment out of it and if not, that someone else gets to enjoy the eccentricity.
If health is not permitting you to drive it so much these day I assume lotus etc will not offer any greater accessibility. How about an F-type SVR or DB9 (depending on year) for similar sort of money?

The mental ‘how do I’ is down to two - Aston V12V or Mercedes GT-R. Both convertible. Both rare-ish. Both special. Not as special as the Sagaris, but you need a hyper car to have the same response.
This would be me chopping all three cars in (C63, Clio V6 and Sagaris). Hence needing something more useable.
I can’t believe I’m thinking seriously about it, but here we are.
Ref the modifications - it will be what it will be. The engine is a peach. Everything else… to me takes the Sagaris and moves it a half step forward. But I would say that

The Sag is unique and all the things that's been said on here I absolutely love it and the sense of occasion is immense.
The only thing that one day will make me sell is that my wife can't drive it (she couldn't drive the previous Griff either) she is just too short at 5ft 1. Some may say this is a good thing and I get that but if we are say in Italy on a touring trip and I get ill/ injured/ imprisoned we are both marooned.
For me that probably means a 911 one day (i love the 991 GTS or Turbo) as she could def drive one of those (in a dire emergency)
Not generally a fan of Mercs and the GT40 is my ultimate but I think she would have a small problem with that too

I recently purchased a Lotus Exige Sport 350. For me, it is better than the Sag in these areas :-
- Handling
- Steering
- Suspension control (no bottoming out)
- The roof comes off (though still waiting for the soft top)
(It actually feels quicker too in the low-mid range, helped by the supercharger)
However, the Sag still beats it hands down in these areas :-
- Engine / exhaust note
- Brake pedal feel
- Gearshift
- Getting in and out
- Exoticness / rareness
- Interior passenger space
- Bit more luggage space (thanks for that, Chris Goffey)
Both look fabulous inside and out, but the Lotus gets more attention. However, that I think is mostly due to it being a much brighter colour and more recognisable, whereas most haven't a clue what the Sag is.
I don't think I could sell the Sag unless it was a necessity. It is somethng the like of which we will never see again, There will be more and more cars that are quicker, but that's immaterial really for road use.
