I'm looking into the reason why my boot hatch isn't opening and have found I'm only getting about 5 volts to the solenoid. So obviously I've got at least one bad connection somewhere. Can anyone point me towards the best place to start looking? Thanks!
Connect your meter positive to the positive feed and the negative to a length of wire and run direct to battery. This will tell you if you are loosing volts on the feed or you have a bad earth.
