What year is your car?
The battery terminals were swapped around during production to move the positive terminal away from the metal chassis. Worth doing now as a safety precaution (as well as removing the henderson plug) assuming you have the ususal 1m too long cables that i've had in my T cars
I fitted this to my Tam last month - https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/yuasa/ybx306... This has the terminals orientated with the positive to the 'outside'.
If you haven't done so already, worth doing the following while you have gone through the ball ache of accessing the battery;
i, Inspect the henderson charging plug for corrossion, splits etc .. or just remove it.
ii, swap the 100amp strip fuses in the fuse holder for ceramic versions. Upgrade to 125amp worth considering. Check the fuse holder is in good condition too.
iii, trim and reroute the power cables to the battery (also to suit the different terminals arrangement if you go that route. I changed the clamps with separate fixings for the cables and changed all the cables to eylet terminals.
iv, secure to the side and check they are still connected the two drain tubes from the heater box / vent intake above the battery.
v, replace the nut and bolt going through the bulkhead at the back of battery chamber for a length of stainless steel threaded bar anbd washers. Clamp in place to the bulk head (ie a nut and washer penny both sides). Then reattach the earth cables (after checking then for condition and cleaning / repairing as needed) with nuts and washers.
vi, treat the battery tray and exposed metals for rust.
vii, swap the mild steel battery clamp and bolt for a stainless ones if you can find one. They were on ebay. Add an extra nut to lock the bolt anyway.
