DAB aerial question
Discussion
So, my T350 has a windscreen-mounted DAB aerial fitted, bloody massive thing, hideous, takes up the height of the screen.
I have purchased a new, much smaller amplified glass-mounted aerial which is much more discreet and should work very nicely. However... What (if in fact, is there?!) is the best way of removing the a-pillar leather trim to run the cable down in behind the dashboard and to the back of the headunit; and re-affixing it?
I'm prepared for the usual feedback - "just listen to the sound of the Speed Six, you don't need a radio", "Just rip it off, that's what they'd do in the factory", etc etc...
I'm happy to include some photos of the offending article - any help appreciated!

hi, put mine under the glovebox, works fine, so removing trim etc !
Ahh, ha!Any issues with signal at all? Being a countryside boy, DAB signal can be a bit hit and miss with the glass-mounted aerials (although not had too much of an issue with the current monstrosity...)
Obviously the best option would to not have anything on the windscreen - so hidden behind the dash would be primo if the plan's a go'er

Perfect! Sounds like a good Sunday job with a cuppa or two - will give it a go and report back.Out of interest, which aerial have you got? I went for a Connects2 CT27UV70 which has quite a mixed review, but will see how I get on...
Yes, definitely a 'dry fit' is in order before committing to final fix...
Getting up inside the top dash panel on a T350 may be a bit of a fiasco - but will have a proper look tomorrow and see what the best solution is, sounds like that may well be the best plan though.
Thanks for the help, gents - i'll report back with how I get on!

I bought one of these, got rid of the wall mount, cut down the square tube and fastened it in the boot just underneath the catch.
