Dash lit up, alarm going off, strange messages!
Discussion
The Tam is in the garage unlocked but the alarm has just gone off even though it’s not set, the dash is lit up with no key in the ignition and strange messages like “Heater flap error” and “Power Supply”.
Flat battery I thought but the car has started with no problem at all. Can’t check state of battery until tomorrow but assuming that’s all good any other ideas or suggestions?

Try pressing the brake pedal to switch the dash lights off, could be a back feed via the alternator.Flat battery I thought but the car has started with no problem at all. Can’t check state of battery until tomorrow but assuming that’s all good any other ideas or suggestions?
The 'power supply' error message is usually a sign of an over current, (or under voltage) when my door/window Ecu went short circuit due to water ingress 'that old chestnut' flashed up.
If the main error message being displayed is 'Heater flap error' probably worth pulling the heater fuse to see if the warning disappears; the stepper motor may be mechanically stuck and this will increase the current being drawn.
