Tamora Cup Holder / USB charger
Discussion
In case it inspires anyone else during lockdown...
Having been frustrated at the lack of cup holders and phone charging locations in the Tamora (just that little slot in front of the gear stick), I spent some of the weekend making my own. (Those of you with more professional capabilities... no laughing!).
I didn't want to change any of the existing GRP parts and didn't want it in the way of gear changes so decided behind the centre console bit was best. Made a couple of shaped plates for the top and bottom from a tub of Isopon GRP, and a couple of GRP tubes to support some £5 stainless cups from ebay. Bonded those together, filled with some expanding foam, shaped to suit and then overlayed with more GRP. A bit of body filler to smooth and a coat of paint and it's ready for leather when I get the retrim done.
Relay connected to power the £5 dual USB cigarette lighter socket, and a couple of big-head bolts bonded to the centre tunnel to hold it firmly in place. Will look much better once trimmed properly, but quite happy with it so far.
