Sagaris Out Door Cover
Discussion
I would say they arent without thier challenges in using regularly. I had a premium cover for my T350C and even though it was rarely used outdoor and mostly as a cover whilst garaged it still lost it water proofing capability over time.
You also have to ensure the car is clean and dry before fitting or your holding moisture against the paint and that on a painted fiberglass shell will likely result in the paint blistering, and a leak in the cover will allow the external moisture to penetrate to do the same , and any dirt will be used by the cover moving in a breeze to scratch the surface. Also moist conditions will promote damp to form under the cover so the blister effect is a risk regardless in a wet climate like the UK
To avoid most of the paint abrasion risk you need a fitted tailered cover , probably with a soft liner but that means it must be spotless when fitting else dirt is transfered to the cover for later sanding.
So IMO they are far more a PITA than any percieved benifits they claim to offer.
in dry de-humidified garage as a dust cover they work, in the cold /damp i'd say your car is better off without.

I've had one of these for about 3 years. Not properly fixed down but has survived some very strong winds. The things that persuaded me over an ordinary cover are convenience, you can open and close it in 10 seconds. And you can put the car away wet without the cover touching it(and work around to dry it off).
If you have a little bit more space than the cars footprint I'd recommend one. Price has gone up quite a bit though.

I bought a Sag cover when I was moving house and planned to use it tempoararily but I never did as I was scared of the tales of woes regarding paint bubbling. I instead hacked together a temporary 'drive under' structure with fencing posts and tarpauline. Pretty it was not...
That folding yoke linked above looks like it would be easy to use, if not easy on the eye! I don't think my wife would allow that to be on display at ours

I've had two of these on my Tuscan over the last 7 years:

The waterproofing qualities last about 3 years so about £70/yr cost. They have never done any damage to the paintwork and have certainly kept the car a lot drier inside than it would be without. It does need a clean car before you put it on.
