7 Sag’s for sale at the moment on PH
Discussion
I hope this thread doesn't escalate to the extremis of the "12 GT4's for sale on PistonHeads and growing" part 1 & part 2 threads on the pork forum - 500 pages on part 1 and 33 pages (thus far) on part 2.
All, as you would expect, discucssing values and flipping, miniscule mileages, plus enticing nuggets of wisdom on "chairs" v buckets, exposed plastic not specced to be covered in expensive leather, leather that does not have the required colour of "deviated" (i.e.contrast) stitching (more expense), and other foolhardy errors such as not speccing brakes to match exterior colour - yellow, or yellow stitching, demands high spec carbon cermics to get the yellow matching calipers (only £5k+).
Do you need PCCBs gven the liklihood that you will only have driven 7 miles before the 'flip'?
Mistakes such as not speccing the smoker's pack in order to get a little slidy lid to cover the otherwise open little cubby on the centre console - required even if you don't smoke.
All this, and much more, is avalable should you need to see how the other half live.

I see some of the ads are quoting 324 bhp rather than the official 406 bhp. Is that based on reality v fantasy?
As CliveF proved with his Sag you can go from 355hp (typical std output for a Sag) to over 400hp without touching the engine internals (well save for a change of caamshaft) .. 380 should be doable for most bolt on mods As Clive found out, they are saddled with one of the most restrictive exhausts you will see on a performance sports car! The main reason a good Tuscan S makes nearly 20hp more than a Sag in std spec is the better exhaust it has.
Thanks for the performance info. I've never felt the need to modify the Sag other than replace some consumables with better spec items but keep it otherwise original. Which is probably good, as I've spent a enough on modding other cars and sometimes it's hard to stop.
Still 7 for sale...

That was never going to happen unless someone said they are up for sale before the correction in prices happens All, as you would expect, discucssing values and flipping, miniscule mileages, plus enticing nuggets of wisdom on "chairs" v buckets, exposed plastic not specced to be covered in expensive leather, leather that does not have the required colour of "deviated" (i.e.contrast) stitching (more expense), and other foolhardy errors such as not speccing brakes to match exterior colour - yellow, or yellow stitching, demands high spec carbon cermics to get the yellow matching calipers (only £5k+).

See another one has come up for sale at JZM, I'm certain that was sold by STR8six a couple of months ago?
That Jaguar F1 Racing Green car is up at £72,900, 20k miles with six owners - https://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/TV...
The ad states that there was only one in this colour - can that be right? I remember the Racing Green car which was this colour. Is it the same car? This was their ittle promo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tZF4OF3Ay4
I still love that vid to this day

Let’s assume some does simply want to change from their Sag to something else - what would you buy instead for the same money, rarity, excitement......that does not depreciate rapidly in value?
F-Type is quite nice but lots of them around, Aston ?
I am struggling to think of something that gives the same buzz.........
