Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone on here has done the NC500 in their TVR? I came across the idea today and, as neither myself or Mrs.Chips has spent a great deal of time in Scotland, thought that it may be a good thing to try.
If you have done it could you please tell me your opinions? Is the route TVR friendly? Have you got any recommendations for reasonably priced accommodation? Was getting fuel a problem? Would you do it again? How many days did you take?
Thanks for all positive contributions.

I would suggest looking at the longstanding NC500 thread on the Regional Scotland part of PH. GetCarter is very knowledgeable and lives there. It is a stunning route. Hazards include - other motorists (in order - exhausted, frustrated, insane, or usually drive on the right and forget that we are left hookers), deer or sheep on the road, midges, heavy traffic from April to September, all accommodation booked out, potholes, issues finding super unleaded. General advice is to go at a quieter time of year. Or explore other areas of Scotland - Borders, SW, NE. Whatever, enjoy and ‘go canny, lad’.
